I have been accepted into the CSE Master's program at University of California, San Diego. Woohoo!
Not my first choice school, but by no means my backup or safety school. Now I just need to work on becoming a California resident for the past year...

San Diego is a good school. The head of the supercomputing center there is the father of one of my best friends from high school (he was the head of the UIUC supercomputing center at that time).

It's hard to get into masters programs in general; one should not be devalued over another because of a name -- Stanford can take their elitist impersonal attitude and shove it.
